The Great Plains Honors Council serves collegiate honors programs in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas.

Hutchinson Community College and Wichita State University will host the next GPHC conference: March 18-20, 2022. For details about registration, proposals, hotel, and deadlines, visit the conference website.  Click on “Conference” above for more information and a link to the conference site or click here.

Coordinating its activities with the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), the Great Plains organization promotes the flow of information, ideas, fellowship and professional encouragement throughout its member programs. Our spring regional conference always emphasizes student presentations and the region-as-text. To provide a venue to display our fantastic student projects we have recently created a scholarly journal entitled the Windmill. You can view the inaugural edition of the Windmill here!

The windmill that is part of the Great Plains Honors Council logo is a distinctive feature of our six-state region.  It represents cooperation with the environment ... the bringing to light of hidden resources ... ingenuity ... perseverance ...the willingness to catch inspiration from every direction.
